This recipe is super easy. It is “Dumb proofed” even I can make it. The ingredients are very simple, no need to stir fry or saute.
Additionally, it doesn’t require complex ingredients. Only those ones that you can easily find in your pantry.
You’ll need:
- Light soy sauce
- Sesame oil
- Dry thin noodles
- Fined chopped Chinese green onion/scallion
- Chili oil (optional)
Instructions:
Bring a pot of water to boil and add the noodles to the pot

Prepare the soup: take a bowl, add soy sauce and sesame oil. Pour the boiling water to the bowl, taste, and adjust with either soy sauce or water to your liking.

Once the noodles are cooked, scoop up the noodles from the water or drain the noodles in a drainer. Carefully add the noodles to the soup, Sprinkle the finely chopped green onion on top of the noodles.
Add chili source if you like. I use “LaoGanMa” chili source.
Enjoy!

Cooking Tips:
This recipe is very versatile, you can vary based on your liking: spicy, non-spicy, you can add some vegetable if you happen to have some in your pantry; you can poach an egg while boiling the noodle; you can add sea weeds if you prefer; or even one or two slices of polish sausage or smoked ham. You can be as creative as your imagination goes…
